Islamabad:A four-day international conference focusing on AI-enabled solutions for sustainable water governance, security, and safety was recently concluded.
According to Radio Pakistan, the event was organized by the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South. It served as a platform for thirty-four experts from twelve countries to share insights and participate in technical sessions, AI training, and panel discussions. Attendees also had the opportunity to visit key Pakistani research institutions.
At the closing ceremony, Romina Khurshid Alam, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, stressed the significance of artificial intelligence in addressing Pakistan's pressing water challenges, such as water scarcity, flooding, and water safety.
