President, PM Pay Tribute to Major Mohammad Akram on 53rd Martyrdom Anniversary.


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider on his 53rd martyrdom anniversary. In his statement, the President said Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed made a great sacrifice for the homeland. Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that the entire nation will remain grateful to its martyrs and their families.

According to Radio Pakistan, Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed was commanding a company of 4 Frontier Force Regiment on 19 May 1971, where he defended the area of responsibility daringly and did not allow the enemy to make an advance. During the fight with the enemy, Major Akram Shaheed got seriously injured and embraced Shahadat on this day in 1971.

In his statement, the Prime Minister noted that Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed set an eternal example of courage and bravery while fighting in East Pakistan. He highlighted that Major Akram Shaheed confronted the enemy valiantly without fear of its numerical superiority, setting an exampl
e of duty and loyalty to the nation that is inspiring for the younger generation. Shehbaz Sharif expressed that the entire nation takes pride in the martyrs of Pakistan Army and their families, holding profound respect and admiration for the brave sons of the homeland who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He reaffirmed that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Services Chiefs, and Armed Forces of Pakistan have also paid heartfelt tribute to Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on his fifty-third Shahadat anniversary.
