New York:United Nations Pakistan has declared that Jammu and Kashmir was never, is not, and will never be an integral part of India.
According to Radio Pakistan, these statements were made by Ms. Saima Saleem, a Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, during her right to reply at the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly.
Saleem emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir is recognized internationally as a disputed territory, with a significant portion under what she described as India's forcible and illegal occupation for almost eight decades. She claimed this occupation is against the wishes of the Kashmiri people and violates international law and numerous Security Council resolutions.
Additionally, Saleem accused India of exporting terrorism and violence, stating that Pakistan has provided extensive evidence of India's involvement in financing, aiding, and supporting terrorist groups targeting Pakistanis.
She also criticized the current Indian government, led by the RSS-BJP, for institutionalizing Hindutva ideology in state policy and practice, which she alleged has led to a campaign of terror against minorities.
