Islamabad:Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Ali Wasim, visited Shahzad Town Police Station to inspect various sections and assess the facilities provided to citizens.
According to Radio Pakistan, the DIG instructed police officers to ensure the timely redressal of public complaints and to resolve under-investigation cases on merit without unnecessary delays. He emphasized the need for effective action against proclaimed, wanted, and record-holding offenders, urging intensified operations against criminal gangs.
In addition to his visit, DIG Ali Wasim conducted an Open Court at his office, where he listened to complainants' concerns and directed officers to address these grievances within the prescribed time. He assured citizens that they could approach the police directly with complaints, without needing recommendations or influence, and could contact the IGP Complaint Cell at 1715.
Meanwhile, SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, chaired a meeting where he directed officers from the Industrial Area and Sohan Zones to strengthen patrolling and intensify actions against criminal activities. He stressed that negligence in crime prevention and maintaining law and order would not be tolerated.
