This Motorola Phone Can Wrap Around Your Wrist

Lenovo and Motorola unveiled an innovative concept phone with a flexible pOLED display during their annual Global Tech World event.

This standout device offers remarkable versatility, as it can be curved to fit around your wrist or stand independently like a tripod. Lenovo envisions this concept phone as the gateway to a future hands-free user experience.

While detailed specifications for this device were not disclosed, we do know that it sports a 6.9-inch diagonal screen with 1080p resolution. The design includes noticeable bezels and a fabric back.

The phone can securely attach to a metal cuff, presumably using magnets, to comfortably encircle your wrist. The user interface adapts to the screen’s orientation, providing a tailored experience. Motorola suggests that wearing this flexible device on your wrist will offer a similar user experience to the Razr 40 Ultra, also known as Razr+, with its 3.6-inch cover screen capable of running full Android apps.

Motorola showcased generative AI functionalities designed to harness the unique form factor of the concept phone. With MotoAI integrated into the device, users can tailor their wallpaper and theme. This feature enables you to capture a photo of an outfit, after which MotoAI generates images that can be applied as your personalized wallpaper.

As shown in the image below, you can create a wallpaper to match your own clothes once you take a picture of your outfit.

Speaking of generative AI, Motorola is not the only one introducing such features to its smartphones. Google was the first to do it with the Pixel 8 series and Samsung and Apple are also expected to follow suit with their new software updates, namely iOS 18 and One UI 6.
