Kathmandu: A record 274 climbers have successfully scaled Mount Everest in a single day, marking the highest number ever to reach the world's tallest peak from the Nepali side. According to Radio Pakistan, the 8,849-metre-high Mount Everest straddles the border between Nepal and the Tibet region of China and can be climbed from both sides. This unprecedented achievement highlights the increasing popularity and accessibility of climbing expeditions on the Nepali side, attracting seasoned mountaineers from around the globe. The event underscores the logistical efforts undertaken by expedition organizers and local authorities to accommodate such a large number of climbers safely. This milestone also brings attention to the challenges of managing environmental impact and ensuring climber safety on the crowded slopes of Mount Everest.
