Punjab Govt Launches Campaign to Plant Natural Forest in Lahore


Lahore: Punjab government has launched a campaign to plant a natural forest in Lahore to control smog and air pollution.



According to Radio Pakistan, work has begun on creating a natural air filter along the Ravi River to transform Lahore into an oxygen hub.



In a statement, Punjab senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said transforming Lahore city into an oxygen hub is chief minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s mission.



She said this is a significant and permanent step by the Punjab government for environmental protection.
