PMD Predicts Scattered Rain and Thunderstorms in Northern Regions

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that the upper regions of the country will experience scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms over the next twelve hours. These weather conditions are expected to affect areas including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, and Upper and Central Punjab. According to Radio Pakistan, there is also a possibility of heavy rainfall and hailstorms in isolated locations within these regions during this period. Meanwhile, other parts of the country are anticipated to experience hot and dry weather, with the southern districts of Balochistan and upper areas of Sindh facing particularly intense heat. The temperatures recorded this morning in major cities were as follows: Islamabad at twenty-four degrees centigrade, Lahore at twenty-nine, Karachi at thirty, Peshawar at twenty-eight, Quetta at twenty-two, Gilgit at nineteen, Murree at fifteen, and Muzaffarabad at twenty-three degrees centigrade. In the Indian Illegally Occu pied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather forecast predicts partly cloudy and dry conditions for Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu is expected to be hot and dry. Morning temperatures in these areas were recorded as follows: Srinagar and Anantnag at fifteen degrees centigrade, Jammu at twenty-eight, Leh at four, Pulwama and Shopian at fourteen, and Baramula at sixteen degrees centigrade.
