PM Commits to Expanding Daanish Schools Across Underdeveloped Regions

Bhimber: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today laid the foundation stone of a Daanish School in the Bhimber area of Azad Kashmir, aimed at providing quality and free education to underprivileged children. During the groundbreaking ceremony of the first Daanish School Science and Technology Center of Excellence in Bhimber, the Prime Minister highlighted his commitment to establishing more Daanish Schools in Azad Kashmir and other underdeveloped areas of the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Daanish Schools initiative is designed to offer quality education to talented and intelligent children who lack access to educational facilities. He credited the project’s inception to his leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who initially aimed to bring quality education to the talented children of less developed areas in Punjab, whose parents could not afford educational expenses.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that thousands of students have completed their studies from Daanish Schools and are now serving in various key departments. He stated that the schools enroll talented orphans and poor children to foster an educational revolution in the country. He explained that students receive free books, meals, and boarding, with separate school buildings for girls and boys.

The Prime Minister also announced plans to establish additional Daanish Schools in Neelum and other regions of Azad Kashmir, as well as in Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan, and the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He assured that the federal government would finance these schools and instructed authorities to construct and operationalize the Bhimber Daanish School within one year.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed that the people of Occupied Kashmir, who continue to fight for their independence, would be pleased to see their counterparts receiving high-standard educational facilities. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to extending political, moral, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir until they achieve their Right to Self-Determination as per United Nations resolutions.
