Islamabad: Pakistan has called for Public-Private partnership to bridge SDG financing gap. Delivering a statement at Inter Parliamentary Union hearing in New York, Senator Farooq H. Naek highlighted the need for capacity building support to developing countries to enable them to formulate viable projects.
According to Radio Pakistan, Senator Naek emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between public and private sectors to effectively address the financial challenges associated with achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He pointed out that many developing nations require enhanced support to build their capacity in creating and implementing sustainable projects.
Senator Naek’s address underscored the urgency of mobilizing resources and expertise from various stakeholders to ensure that developing countries can meet their SDG targets by the 2030 deadline. His statement reflects Pakistan’s commitment to fostering international cooperation in addressing global development challenges.
