United Nations has urged for a global effort to mobilize resources urgently to save lives of over twenty million children across Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia suffering dire drought conditions.
In a statement, the UNICEF Deputy Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa Lieke van de Wiel said, the children are now facing the threat of severe hunger, thirst and disease as climate change, conflicts, global inflation and grain shortages have devastated the region.
