Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir says Armed Forces of Pakistan are fighting like comrades and in unison to stamp out menace of terrorism from the country.
According to Radio Pakistan, while talking to students in Rawalpindi, General Munir emphasized that the nation and the youth are standing behind the Pakistan Army. He expressed confidence in the spirit of fighting and affirmed that the fight against the enemy will continue.
The Army Chief stated that the forces always fight as Pakistanis with a deep love for their country. He noted that interaction with the younger generation is encouraging, and he believes that the nation’s future is in safe hands.
General Munir addressed the issue of Khwarij terrorists, asserting that they have no connection with religion and are creating chaos in the country. He referenced the holy Quran, stating that these elements must be eliminated unless they seek mercy, repent, and surrender to the state.
He reiterated that the Pakistan Army is driven by the spirit and ideology to combat Khwarij terrorists. Additionally, he highlighted that Islam accords respect to women and vowed that the nation will not allow this respect to be diminished.
General Syed Asim Munir expressed the resolve that the Pakistan Army will not permit perverted groups like Fitna-al-Khawarij to impose their values on the country.
