The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) organized an informative briefing session in Islamabad today to familiarize the media with the cutting-edge capabilities of the newly-built National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC).
According to NDMA, the briefing shed light on the role of the NEOC in early warning systems, proactive preparedness, global outreach, and the pivotal involvement of media as a key stakeholder in effective risk communication.
The presentation also highlighted the high-tech approach employed in monitoring disaster-prone areas, utilizing mobile units, satellite technology, and modern tools to enhance the efficiency of disaster response efforts.
During the session, media representatives applauded the NEOC facility and NDMA’s proactive initiatives in dealing with both anticipated and unidentified disasters.
