Rahim Yar Khan:The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with the Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC), conducted an Industrial Disaster Response Mock Drill and Simulation Exercise at FFC Goth Machhi.
According to Radio Pakistan, the purpose of the drill was to assess and strengthen the preparedness, coordination, and response mechanisms for potential industrial emergencies. It provided a practical platform to test emergency response procedures, inter-agency coordination, and the operational readiness of relevant departments.
The simulation also aimed at enhancing coordination between district, provincial, and industrial authorities to ensure an effective and timely emergency response. Representatives from the District Disaster Management Authority, Health Department, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, Police, Industries Department, Government of Punjab, NDMA, and local industry, along with relevant FFC emergency response teams, participated in the exercise.
