Martyrdom Anniversary of Victims of Zakura and Tengpora Massacres Observed in IIOJK

Srinagar: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the thirty-fifth martyrdom anniversary of the victims of the Zakura and Tengpora massacres was solemnly observed on Saturday. According to Radio Pakistan, on this day in 1990, Indian troops brutally opened fire on peaceful protesters in the Zakura and Tengpora areas of Srinagar, resulting in the martyrdom of over fifty innocent Kashmiris and injuring dozens more. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) paid rich tribute to the victims. In a statement issued in Srinagar, the APHC spokesperson, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, described the massacre as part of India's systematic campaign of genocide in IIOJK. He emphasized that these actions are intended to terrorize the local population and suppress their quest for self-determination. Advocate Minhas also reaffirmed the unwavering resolve of the Kashmiri people to continue their struggle for freedom, highlighting the enduring spirit and determination of those affected by the tragedy.
