The National Assembly resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad this evening with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in chair.
Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has ruled out slowing down of work on Munda, Dasu and Diamer-Bhasha dams.
Responding to a calling attention notice moved by Zartaj Gul and others, he said the work on these projects, being executed by the Federal Government, has been continuing as usual.
He expressed the confidence that the deadline set for the completion of these projects will be met with some exceptions.
The Law Minister further said the projects announced by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government will be executed by the provincial authorities.
Responding to another calling attention, Minister for Energy Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari informed the House that loadshedding of varied hours is carried out on some feeders of Karachi Electric in Lyari and Azam Basti to curtail losses.
He said there is zero loadshedding on 71 percent of total feeders of Karachi Electric.

uhammad Aurangzeb says the federal government has fully implemented the minimum wages of 32,000 rupees in the departments and divisions under its control.
Responding to a resolution moved by Syed Rafiullah, he said the Finance Division has notified the enhanced minimum wages in the Islamabad Capital Territory and other ministries of the federal government. He, however, said the minimum wage policy in provincial departments is the sole responsibility and prerogative of the provinces.
Replying to another resolution, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar informed the House that a Protectorate of Emigrants Office in district Mansehra will be made functional by June this year.
The House passed both the resolutions.
‘The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2024’ was introduced in the House and the Speaker referred it to the standing committee concerned.
Besides, the chair also referred ‘The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Technology Bill, 2024’ to the standing committee concerned for further deliberations.
