Govt to Support Youth in Creating Solutions for Modern Challenges: Mashhood


Islamabad: Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood Khan has announced that the government will fully facilitate the youth in developing indigenous ideas to address modern challenges. In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan, he emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering young minds across the nation.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif serves as the patron-in-chief of the newly formed National Youth Council, which comprises some of the most talented young individuals in Pakistan. Thousands of young applicants from within the country and the Pakistani diaspora abroad expressed interest in the council. Ultimately, one hundred boys and girls were selected from within Pakistan, along with thirteen members from the overseas Pakistani community, all chosen on a merit basis. These council members have been recognized as top achievers in their respective fields.



Rana Mashhood Khan elaborated that the advisory council members will collaborate with youth across the country to develop their ideas collaboratively, with the government committed to implementing these ideas. He underscored the government’s focus on environmental and climate change issues, highlighting the establishment of Green Youth Movement clubs at universities nationwide. Through this initiative, university students will be encouraged to undertake projects and raise awareness about green economy and environmental challenges.



Furthermore, he announced the forthcoming establishment of the National Volunteer Core, where environment champions from the National Youth Council will guide efforts to advance the green economy. The government also plans to conduct disaster risk management training to prepare the nation for climate-related challenges.
