The government has decided to ban the use of drones during Muharram processions and majalis across the country. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting in Islamabad today with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in the chair. The use of drone cameras during Muharram processions and majalis will be prohibited from first to the10th of the current month of Islamic calendar. However, the decision to suspend internet or mobile phone services will be taken in consultation with provinces after considering security concerns. Interior Minister assured that Federal Government will provide all possible cooperation to provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad for maintaining law and order.
