Four million trees planned for Islamabad in next two months

Around four million trees will be planted over the next two months in the Federal Capital.

The primary objective of this campaign is to protect and increase the wildlife and plantation in the Margalla Hills.

Through this initiative, the damage caused by wildfires due to heat wave in Margalla Hills will be mitigated.

In this regard, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa to ensure digitally monitoring of the saplings planted during the campaign.

Mohsin Naqvi urged to plant fruit-bearing and flowering plants instead of ornamental trees to make Islamabad more lush and green.
