Education Ministry unveils co-working spaces for young entrepreneurs


The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) today unveiled state-of-the-art Software Technology Parks (STPs) also known as E-Rozgaar Centers in Islamabad.

These centers, inaugurated at Islamabad College for Girls, F-6/2, mark a significant advancement in fostering a dynamic tech ecosystem in Islamabad.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, officially launched the Software Technology Parks at Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG) in F-7/4 sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Maqbool Siddiqui said the initiative is a cornerstone in our efforts to empower Pakistan’s youth. He said by providing essential resources for success in the digital economy, these centers will bridge the gap between education and industry and serve as incubators for innovation and entrepreneurship.

presents a transformative step for young professionals in Pakistan.

In his remarks, Secretary of MoFEPT, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, said this initiative represents a significant milestone in promoting a vibrant tech ecosystem in Islamabad. The five IT parks established in model colleges are not just physical spaces; they are communities, platforms, and catalysts for growth.

Support for the project was also voiced by representatives from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), who highlighted the strategic significance of such initiatives in positioning Pakistan competitively on the global tech stage.

In this initial phase, five Software Technology Parks and e-Rozgaar Centers have been launched in Islamabad’s model colleges. The transformation of existing halls into modern co-working spaces has been completed within three months.

These newly revamped areas are now equipped with air conditioning, high-speed internet, and free electricity.

Additionally, they feature meeting and conference rooms, new furniture
, and vibrant wall murals, creating an ideal environment for freelancers and startups.
