Quetta: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed the commitment to supporting the Balochistan government in its efforts to promote peace, stability, and development in the region. He expressed this resolve during his visit to Balochistan where he was given a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation in the province. He reassured Pakistan Army’s resolve to ensuring the security and well-being of the people of Balochistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Army Chief, along with the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan, offered funeral prayers for the martyrs and visited injured soldiers at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta. He appreciated the unwavering commitment of the soldiers to defend the country at all costs. On this occasion, Syed Asim Munir highlighted that those acting as terrorist proxies for foreign entities are well known to the nation.
He emphasized that despite the actions of these so-called “frenemies,” they will be defeated by the resilience of the nation and its Armed Forces. The Army Chief stated that for the defense of the motherland and its people, retaliation will be decisive whenever required. Syed Asim Munir also praised the efforts of the officers and soldiers of the Army, Frontier Corps, and Law Enforcement Agencies for their determination in fighting terrorism.
The briefing was attended by senior security and intelligence officials, underscoring the collaborative efforts to address security challenges in the region.
