BJP-Led Government Seen as Major Obstacle in Kashmir Resolution, Claims APHC

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has asserted that the BJP-led Indian government poses a significant obstacle to resolving the Kashmir dispute through the exercise of the UN-pledged right to self-determination for Kashmiris. According to Radio Pakistan, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas stated in a recent statement from Srinagar that India's current Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a major impediment to a just resolution of the Kashmir issue. Minhas accused Modi, referencing his past involvement in the Gujarat riots, of being a key barrier to progress. The APHC further alleged that the RSS-BJP regime in India is influenced by a Hindutva-driven mindset, positioning like-minded individuals in key positions within the army and civil bureaucracy. Minhas indicated that these entities have been directed to undermine Kashmiri Muslims and other minorities in India, including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, and Dalits. Additionally, the APHC criticized those who support the Indian occupation of Kashmir and their associated agendas. Minhas emphasized that the Kashmiri people remain steadfast in their mission, honoring the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs.
