Balochistan govt imposes ban on new appointments in universities

A meeting of Balochistan provincial cabinet was held with Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti in the chair in Quetta today. The cabinet meeting formulated a special committee to review public sector universities act. Provincial Ministers Mir Zahoor Buledi, Mir Shoaib Noshirwani, Bukht Muhammad, Secretary Higher Education are included in the meeting. The meeting imposed ban on new appointments in Balochistan Universities. Addressing the meeting the Chief Minister said that Universities have no funds for salaries therefore Universities should avoid appointments and Construction of new buildings. Source: Radio Pakistan
