New york: Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, has reaffirmed Pakistan's deep and abiding commitment to the United Nations and multilateralism. He emphasized this commitment during a briefing to a forty-member delegation from the United States Army War College at the Pakistan Mission to the United Nations.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Ahmad described the UN as the central platform for collective action on key global issues such as international peace and security, development, human rights, climate change, and emerging challenges like artificial intelligence and information technology.
Ambassador Ahmad also underscored the broad-based and dynamic relationship between Pakistan and the United States. This relationship spans various sectors including security, defence, intelligence, counter-terrorism, economic cooperation, trade, and strong people-to-people ties. He highlighted Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, as well as its dedication to dialogue and diplomacy, particularly in mediating between the United States and Iran.
