Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has clarified that the article attributed to the former PTI Chairman in “The Economist” is, in fact, a ghost column.
Speaking in a program of a private TV channel tonight, he said even the present PTI Chairman does not agree with the content of this article. He called for accountability within “The Economist” for publishing an article without proper verification.

He questioned the authenticity of the published material and stressed the need for upholding fundamental principles of journalism.
Underlining the necessity for fair reporting, Murtaza Solangi stated that the primary objective of the media is to uphold the principles of journalism and democratic norms.
In response to a question, the Information Minister mentioned that the former PTI Chairman
does not have internet access while in jail.
