ADB assures Pakistan for continue support to meet climate crisis

Asian Development Bank has assured to continue its support to Pakistan in mitigating the climate change related crisis.

The assurance was given by the Bank’s President Masatsugu Asakawa during a virtual press conference on the occasion of 55th ADB annual meetings.

Expressing sorrow over the unprecedented losses during the recent floods in Pakistan, he said the ADB has already approved a three million dollars grant to support the government of Pakistan’s emergency relief efforts amid widespread floods across the country.

Asakawa said they know the sufferings of Pakistani people and the ADB is committed to help Pakistan overcome the devastating impact of this natural disaster and provide immediate relief to affected families.
