Cold, Partly Cloudy Weather Expected Across Country: PMD

Islamabad: Cold and partly cloudy weather is likely to prevail over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. However, rain and snowfall over mountains is expected in Northwest and Northern Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Potohar region. Fog and smog are likely to persist over districts of Punjab and Upper Sindh. According to Radio Pakistan, temperatures recorded this morning showed Islamabad at eight degrees centigrade, Lahore and Quetta at eleven, Karachi at nineteen, Gilgit and Murree at four, and Muzaffarabad at six degrees centigrade. In the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chances of light rain and snow is expected in Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Cloudy weather with chances of light rain and snow during the evening and night is anticipated in Srinagar, along with cloudy weather and chances of light rain during the evening and night in Jammu. Morning temperatures in the region were recorded as follows: Srinagar at two degrees centigrade, Jammu at nine, Leh at minus-six, with Pulwama, Shopian, and Baramula at one, and Anantnag at zero degrees centigrade.
