Islamabad: Weather is likely to remain cold and dry over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. However, very cold conditions are expected in hilly areas during the night hours. According to Radio Pakistan, smog and fog patches may develop over the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the morning and night hours. The temperature recorded in major cities this morning included Islamabad at five degrees centigrade, Lahore at ten, Karachi at fourteen, Peshawar at seven, Quetta at minus-two, Gilgit at minus-five, and Murree and Muzaffarabad at three degrees centigrade. The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir suggests very cold and dry conditions are expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu will experience cold and dry weather. This morning, the temperature in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula was recorded at minus two degrees centigrade, Jammu at nine, Leh at minus-seven, and Anantnag and Shopian at minus-three deg rees centigrade.
