Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed sorrow and grief over the boat accident off the coast of Libya, which resulted in the deaths of Pakistanis on board. In his statement, the Prime Minister extended condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for those who lost their lives in the incident.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif has sought a report from the relevant authorities regarding the incident. He has also directed Foreign Ministry officials to expedite the identification of the deceased Pakistanis and provide all possible assistance to those affected.
The Prime Minister emphasized that strict action will be taken against those involved in human trafficking, asserting that negligence will not be tolerated. He assured that the government is taking steps to curb human trafficking.
