Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has assured the Chief Minister of Sindh of the Federal government’s commitment to ensure full and timely release of funds for all approved projects. He gave this assurance while meeting Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who called on him in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister further assured that any increase in the cost of ongoing projects would be expeditiously considered by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) and the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for decision. The meeting reviewed in detail the ongoing development projects included in the Public Sector Development Programme of Sindh.
The discussions addressed issues related to allocations, implementation, and approvals of the reviewed projects, particularly those pertaining to road connectivity, water storage, schools infrastructure, and housing. The meeting delved into the approval and implementation status of these projects.
It was agreed that the timely completion of projects within approved costs is imperative for the development of Sindh province and the betterment of its population.
