All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has urged the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to pressure India for the release of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and to facilitate a resolution to Kashmir dispute in line with Security Council resolutions. In a statement in Srinagar, APHC spokesperson said India has imprisoned over five thousand Kashmiris on baseless charges who are deprived of essential facilities. The spokesperson said India has turned entire Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a military camp, where its forces perpetrate severe atrocities against innocent Kashmiris.
