President, PM pay rich tribute to police martyrs

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday have paid tribute to martyred police officers and personnel and said that their sacrifices in line of duty and eradication of crimes were unprecedented. In their separate a statements on Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Police being observed today, they said day reminded them of the valour and bravery displayed by the police force. They said entire nation was proud of its martyred police personnel and saluted them on their sacrifices. President Zardari highlighting the role of police force during the success in fight against terrorism said that Jawans of police force had been sacrificing their lives, fighting with terrorists and anti social elements in different parts of the country. The Prime minister assured that federal government would take all possible steps for the provision of education and health facilities to the children of shuhada, adding that the bereaved families would be taken care of in every possible way.
