Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has directed to give equal importance to the content of regional languages being disseminated on print and electronic media at par with Urdu and English publication or broadcast.
Chairing first meeting of media chiefs in Islamabad on Friday, he also directed the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications that following the monitoring pattern of English and Urdu broadcast and print, the content of regional languages should also be included in the monitoring list.
Murtaza Solangi also directed to include newspapers of all Pakistani regional languages including Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi and Punjabi in the monitoring list.
